Hotel Nacional will host the XIX edition of this competition

Take note: the Hotel Nacional de Cuba will host from October 3 to 5 the 19th edition of the International Wine Feast, most important event of its kind in the country. The competition will bring together wine lovers and professionals of sorts presenting wine and wine growing novelties, launching new products, fostering the knowledge of broths and having as main participants: UCSA Freixenet, Bodegas Torres, Duprasaand Havana Club Internacional S.A. among others. Don´t miss the opportunity to enjoy a good wine….raise your cups! 

The event opens to important oenologists, F&B professionals and sommeliers, but also to winemakers and distributors as well as those interested in the issue, including professionals of areas related to the wine industry and hotel representatives, maîtres, chefs and restaurateurs.

Main activities included in the feast program

Organized by Hotel Nacional in collaboration with the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, the program of this traditional meeting includes experts´ conferences, pairing of excellent wines and cigars, presentations/launchings of new wines and experts´ sampling among otheractivities.  There is also space for exchange regarding the wine growing culture in the world and wine marketing and sales.

There will be a blind sampling in the Baracoa Hall of the hotel on September 28 before the inauguration, where a group of sommeliers and experts will appraise different wines: reds, whites and sparkling featured by wine cellars present.  The jury according to hotel sources, will include well-known professionals and experts who will organize the appropriate tasting order of all brands in competition, guaranteeing their temperature and service techniques depending on their nature.

As to most important activities included in the program: the authentic cigars and excellent wines ideal pairing demonstration conference, October 4 at 3pm in the hotel Parisien Lounge; closing and presentation of awards to participating companies, October 5 at 4 pm in the 1930 Hall and finally the closing by Cabaret Parisien Exhibitors starting at 9 pm in the cabaret proper.
