The history of El Floridita Bar and Restaurant with its emblematic Daiquirí drink has a remembrance of intense moments of Havana in theold days and at present times as well;not only due to the distinction of its dishes of unique flavor, especially based on fish and seafood, prepared by expert masters of national and international cuisine, but also on account of important visitors to the place: famous artists, social, sports and science personalities who wished to stop by during its 200 years of existence.

The restaurant rates as one of the most elegant and exclusive of the Island and besides food it offers a varied wine carte. Every dining experience is a glamourous one supported by an excellent catering team of waiters, sommeliers and chefs and always surrounded by a cheerful environment animated by groups of Cuban traditional music.

It should be noted that it took Ernest Hemingway only one visit to the place to fall in love with one of the most emblematic spots of Havana and Cuba all in all, known as the “Cradle of Daiquiri”.  Today the attraction goes beyond the bar extending to the restaurant with dishes as Langosta Mariposa, Papa and Mary and Kayuca Mixta or the great Hemingway Dish. Thus its acknowledgement in 1992 as the Best of the Best Five Star Diamond Award of the American Academy of Gastronomical Science and as King of Daiquiri and most representative restaurant specialized in fish and seafood.

El Floridita is without doubt a unique space for the Cuban gourmet cuisine wherein new trends blend with a beginning of the XX century ambiance; a visit to the place guarantees a true acquaintance with a different facet of Cuban life, its special aromas, flavors and sonorities.
