As customary for more than 20 years, Coralsa, Corporación Alimentaria S.A. took part in this new edition of FIHAV 2018 together with its share holding companies.
Within the celebration of Havana´s 500th anniversary, the Coralsa Company presented this time, as part of its expansion, two new companies: COMITAL S.A. AND NESCOR, S.A.
Comital S.A. recently approved and already undergoing an investment process, presented a tasting exhibit of its main products during the fair: raviolis, lasagnas and cannelloni, achieving excellent results with potential clients as well as with the Cuban public, a true fan of traditional Italian food.
On the other hand Nescor S.A. already operating in the Island, presented a wide variety of well-known brand products, among them coffee and biscuits.
As such, FIHAV became the ideal platform to launch these new products. For example, Coralac S.A.´s Frappe Latte, greatly welcomed by the assisting public.
Coralsa also presented other novelties from joint venture companies as Los Portales S.A. with a renovated image and a new design for its carbonated soft drinks and tonic water, symbolically reflecting distinctive elements of Havana in its 500th anniversary. This presentation earned the company FIHAV 2018´s Prize to the Free Stand Design.
IMSA in its 15th anniversary presented a series of wheat flour products destined to different clients, among them integral bread and baguettes as well as pancake pre-mixtures; also pre-cooked pizzas for the retail market.
With distinguishing products as always: Stella, Coracan, Papas & Co. and Bravo presented a wide variety of products to its clients. As acknowledgement to good practices, Bravo´s sausages received the Gold Medal to Product Quality.
Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Council of State and Council of Ministers was among most prominent personalities attending the fair, touring its premises during its inauguration.
Iris Quiñones Rojas, Food Industry Minister accompanied by Ulises Rosales del Toro, Vicepresident of the Council of Ministers exchanged with representatives of the joint ventures companies and other Coralsa directors. The minister shared with the press the challenges and perspective of the Cuban Food Industry and the importance of foreign investment towards its development, aiming to satisfy the on growing demand of the national market.
It was an intense workweek of meetings and exchanges, one of the most important with Proxcor (Slovakia), a potential shareholder already involved in an advanced negotiations process.
Coralsa is always looking to the future, playing an important role in the Food Industry Development Program; a committed and trusted associate, Coralsa thanks FIHAV for this new opportunity. We´ll meet again in 2019!!
